Magazine Capacity Limits by State
13 of the 51 US jurisdictions set a state limit on magazine capacity as of 2026-09-27. The limit applies to visitors as it does to residents: a permit that is honored in the state does not exempt you from it, and this is one of the easiest carry laws to break by accident.
