Is a Alaska Non-Resident Permit Valid in Arizona?

No such permit issuedVerified 2026-08-08

There is nothing to recognize: Alaska issues permits to its own residents only (dPS: 'No non-resident permits are issued.' Applicant must have been physically in Alaska 90+ days and intend to remain indefinitely; legal resident aliens meeting residency may apply). If you don't live in Alaska, look at states that do sell non-resident permits and check which of those Arizona honors.

Why

A.R.S. § 13-3112(Q): Arizona recognizes any other state's permit if it is valid in the issuing state and the holder is legally present and not prohibited — no resident-only condition, so non-resident permits qualify. But out-of-state permit holders under 21 may not carry concealed in Arizona (§ 13-3112(S)).
